This project was designed to supplement Turners (Soham) Ltd. bespoke cold storage and transportation site in Fordham, Suffolk.

We were competitively engaged on a design and build package to provide 90,000 square feet of temperature controlled storage and packaging space over 4 floors, providing a vehicle maintenance workshop, gatehouse and requisite external works. Exacting standards were required on the structure, which in areas required storage temperatures of –25° C.

The client was committed to providing 'pre-let' refrigerated storage space early in the contract and we were pleased to accommodate this request on time to provide a partial handover and ensure that products could be stored safely and hygienically.

The fast track nature of this project required a pragmatic approach by M.A.R.S. (Construction) Ltd. and an understanding of our client’s business priorities and requirements. Priority considerations were that we were operating on a live site and ensuring the heavy flow on internal traffic remained unaffected by our works.
