Built within the confines of the Old Choir Yard these facilities provide much needed workshop and storage space.

The objective of the build was to provide the required space which was to be sympathetic to the surroundings of the existing Cathedral.

In order to preserve the antiquities possibly present the floor slab was cast with the minimum of disturbance to the existing ground.

Reclaimed materials were used wherever possible and the superstructure was a timber frame with tongue and groove panel boarding.

The client was delighted with the end result and was particularly impressed with the minimal disruption to this extremely sensitive environment.
